Puttur, June 25: A grave in a Christian burial ground was found vandalized in St. Anthony’s Church, Bannur, Aanemajalu area of Puttur which is udner the care of Fr. Balthazar Pinto Parish Priest. The incident has caused concern among the local Christian community.
According to a complaint lodged at the Puttur Town Police Station on June 14, 2025, by the concerned authorities, unknown miscreants are suspected to have deliberately desecrated one of the graves.
Following the complaint, Puttur Town Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Senior officers, including the Inspector of the Puttur Town Police Station, visited the site and assessed the situation.
