Mangaluru, Sept 29: In commemoration of World Heart Day, observed globally on 29th September, Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH) launched a special Healthy Heart Checkup Package aimed at promoting preventive cardiac care.

The brochure of the package was unveiled by Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI), and Rev. Fr George Jeevan Sequeira, Administrator, FMMCH, in the presence of faculty of Cardioligy.

The Department of Cardiology, FMMCH headed by Dr Pradeep Pereira curated the package as part of its commitment to raising awareness and ensuring accessible heart health screening. The special package will be available for 15 days, from 29th September to 13th October 2025, strictly by prior appointment.

Dr H Prabhakar Chief Cardiologist; Dr Jostol Pinto, Assoc Prof Cardilogy & Dr Ashoka Asst Prof cardiology are part of the team that comprehensively and holistically look into the patient cardiac needs.


The packages offered are as follows:

Complete Heart Checkup Package – Rs 3,600/-

ECHO + TMT – Rs 2,000/-

Calcium Scoring – Rs 2,500/-

Blood Work + Coronary Angiogram – Rs 8,500/-

The Complete Heart Checkup Package includes: lipid profile, blood sugar, kidney profile, urine examination, USG abdomen, chest X-ray, ECG, 2D ECHO with Colour Doppler, and TMT.

Calcium Scoring, an advanced screening tool for coronary artery disease, is also being offered to help detect early signs of heart risk.

Blessing of New Facilities at FMMCH

Earlier the same morning, at 8:30 AM, Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo also inaugurated and blessed the newly installed High-Capacity Lift (near the 3T MRI), the OPD of Interventional Radiology, and the Procedure Rooms of Interventional Radiology and Urology on the First floor of the northern wing. The event was graced by Management Committee members, departmental faculty, staff, and well-wishers.

In his address, Fr Faustine prayed that all who seek refuge at the hospital may be blessed, and called upon the faculty and staff to remain generous in their service for the benefit of patients. He stressed that resources have been enhanced to meet growing demand and urged judicious utilization.

The ceremony was coordinated by Rev. Fr George Jeevan Sequeira, Administrator, FMMCH, with Fr John Vas, Chief Chaplain; Sr Nancy Mathias, CNO; and Mother Malini, OPD ANS leading the prayer service. Dr Kelvin Pais, Liaison Officer, compered the event.

These initiatives reflect the continuous upgradation of infrastructure and equipment at FMCI, ensuring the best of medical facilities for patients while providing doctors with advanced diagnostic and treatment tools.
