Chennai, Aug 2: Star hero Vishal Brahma was caught with drugs worth Rs 40 crore at the Chennai airport. Actor Vishal Brahma, who played a small role in the 2019 release 'Student of the Year 2', was caught with drugs worth Rs 40 crore at the Chennai airport on Monday.
32-year-old Vishal Brahma, who hails from Assam, was stopped by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence with contraband while he was returning from Singapore to Chennai on flight AI 347. Sources have revealed that he was caught with a Nigerian gang.
Vishal, who was in need of money, was reportedly brought to Cambodia for a holiday. But when they returned, they were allegedly instructed to carry a trolley bag containing drugs.
In June this year, Kollywood actors Krishna and Srikanth were arrested under the Narcotics Control Act. The investigation, which began with a nightclub brawl in early June, has revealed a major nexus of drug trafficking, job scams and land grabbing.
