Mangalore:- The inaugural programme of the Student council 2020-21 of Carmel College Modankap was held on 19th February 2021 at the college auditorium. The programme was inaugurated by Roshan Pinto, Science teacher of Carmel High School Modankap. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings.
The chief guest addressed the gathering and stressed the importance of self belief and hard working with a small moral story. He also mentioned the role and functions of the student council.
The principal Dr. Sr. Latha Fernandes A.C handed over the college flag to the student council leaders, president Pooja III B.COM, Secretary Vineeth Rodrigues III BBA, Joint secretary Nithesh Paul Noronha III B.COM as a sign of taking up the responsibilities. The principal handed over badges to the 31 office bearers and administered the oath taking ceremony by all the student council leaders, secretaries of various associations and departments and class representatives.
Sr. Maria Priya A.C , Joint secretary of the Carmel institutions Modankap, Florine Menezes Vice Principal were present.Student Council president Pooja accorded words of welcome. Vineeth Rodrigues proposed vote of thanks. Tejasvi of I B.Com compered the programme.
