The quiz was co-hosted by renowned quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam, popularly known as ‘Pickbrain’, and Rashmi Furtado, Asia’s only professional female quiz host. Praising the event’s debut, Balasubramaniam said, “In my experience of conducting hundreds of quizzes over several decades, this is the first time I am seeing a debut quiz being conducted in such a grand manner. I must congratulate Lykora for such a well-organised show. Interestingly, the corporate teams performed surprisingly better than the student teams. I am sure Accu Mind will become a much-awaited annual event in the future.”
Welcoming the gathering, Michael Andrade, Director at Lykora, said that AccuMind is a platform designed to bring together intellectual minds, foster curiosity, and celebrate the spirit of knowledge. He also said that Lykora felt a strong responsibility to contribute to the momentum of the growth in the region.
EG India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Denmark-based EG A/S, supported the initiative as part of its commitment to nurturing future-ready skills. With its strong debut, Accu Mind has firmly placed itself on Mangalore’s cultural and intellectual calendar, setting the stage for what promises to become a flagship annual quizzing event in the region.
