Kathmandu: India's most wanted arms supplier Saleem alias `Saleem Pistol' has been arrested in Nepal. Based on specific information, he was hiding in Nepal. A team of Delhi Police Special Cell and security agencies arrested him in a major operation.
Saleem Pistol had been supplying quality arms from Pakistan to many gangsters including gangster Lawrence Bishnoi Hang and Hashim Baba for the past several years. Police said that the investigators have also uncovered the secret with witnesses that he was connected to Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's D-Company.
Salim Pistol's name has appeared in major crimes including the murder of Sidhu Moosewala and Baba Siddiqui. It has also been revealed during the police investigation that he was the mentor of one of Sidhu Moosewala's killers.
Born in 1972 in Seelampur, Delhi, Sheikh Salim dropped out of school in 8th grade due to financial problems and became a taxi driver. After being arrested in Delhi in 2018, Salim fled abroad and started running an arms supply network from there.
