Bengaluru, May 20: Rain is falling across Karnataka due to a depression in the Arabian Sea. A red alert has been declared for 6 districts of Karnataka, and the Meteorological Department has predicted that rain will continue in Bangalore till May 26.

Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Belgaum, Chikkamagaluru, and Shimoga districts will receive heavy rain. Orange alert has been declared for Bagalkot, Dharwad, Haveri, Hassan, and Kodagu.

Yellow alert has been declared for Gadag, Koppal, Vijayapura, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Ramanagara, and Tumkur. Overall, rain will continue in most districts of Karnataka till May 26.

Bengaluru GKVK, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru Nagar, Tjihalli, Kanakapura, Hunagunda, Narayanapura received heavy rainfall. Hoskote, Hesaraghatta, Kunigal, Basavanaguda, Chittapura, Jewargi, Nalvatavada, Magadi, Electronic City, Khanasagi, Belgaum, Kembhavi, Kakkeri, Afzalpur, Chincholi, Gadag received rainfall.

Dharwad, Tondebhavi, Naragunda, Banavasi, Ankola, Ponnampet, Arakalgudu, Parashurampur, Begur, Hiriyur, Belur received rainfall. Bidar recorded the highest temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius. HAL recorded a maximum temperature of 29.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 19.1 degrees Celsius, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 29.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 20.8 degrees Celsius, KIAL recorded a maximum temperature of 29.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 21.0 degrees Celsius, GKVK recorded a maximum temperature of 30.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 18.2 degrees Celsius.

Honnavar recorded a maximum temperature of 31.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 25.6 degrees Celsius, Karwar recorded a maximum temperature of 33.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 26.5 degrees Celsius, Panambur recorded a maximum temperature of 33.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 24.6 degrees Celsius.
