Kompadavu, June 24: A workshop on Konkani folk songs traditionally sung during Kudubi weddings was organized by the Pujya Sesu Gowda Kudubi Janapada Trust.

The Kudubi community, known for its unique culture, customs, and values, has recently been witnessing changes in its traditional practices. To preserve their original culture, the Pujya Sesu Gowda Kudubi Folk Art Trust (Regd.) organized a training workshop focused on songs sung during wedding ceremonies.

In this workshop, folk artist Shivaram Mucchuru Palke and Vedavati participated as resource persons and provided training in singing the traditional songs.

Trust president Janardhan Gowda, honorary advisor Dr. Manohar Nellije, Edapadavu Gram Panchayat member Kushal Gowda, writer Preetham Mijaru, and other trust members were present at the event.
