Mangalore: To encourage and motivate creativity in parishioners, an Eco-friendly Mask Competition was organized by Infant Mary Parish in the month of May 2021. Its a common thinking that the uses of coconut shells, plantain leaves, Arecanut leaves and other materials available in nature are limited. The parishioners of Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi, proved otherwise with their creative imagination.
Large number of contestants enthusiastically participated in this competition by making masks of different materials available in the environment with varied ideas. They showcased their talents through their special artwork masks which ranged from simple leaves in the garden to extraordinary ones made from different parts of Coconut, Banana and Arecanut trees.
