Mangalore, October 28: On October 29, Muslim community celeberates Eid-Milad festival all over the district. Keeping in mind about Covid infection Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner has issued directives.
Exercising authority under Section 26 (1) (2) (3) of the Disaster Management Act 2005 for the health of the public in the wake of the Kovid-19 Infection Act, as the President of the District Disaster Management Authority of Karnataka and as an authority in the Karnataka Infectious Diseases Act 2020, Article 4 Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra KV ordered the following guidelines.
It is strictly forbidden to attend any kind of mass procession or get-together in open space during the Eid Milad festival on October 29th. Day and night discourse and cultural events in Mohallas are strictly prohibited.

Social gap in mosques and dargahs and the etiquette of Kovid-19 should be fulfilled by maintaining physical distance with adequate precautions. Use of loudspeaker, digital sound system in public areas is prohibited. Masks must be used by everyone. Citizens over the age of 60 and children under the age of 10 should celebrate the festival at home. Appropriate arrangements should be made at the entrance to wash hands with sanitizer and soap. It is not possible to organize mass prayer, discourse, etc. in any kind of open space, including Khabarastan.
District officials said that legal action would be initiated against them if they acted in contravention of the above directive.
