Bengaluru, April. 24:  Second PUC Exam-2 has begun across the state from today. This exam will be held from today till May 8, and 2,71,000 students have registered. 73,000 students have registered to improve their results. The exam has begun with tight security at 335 exam centers in the state.

School Education Minister Madhubangarappa has extended his best wishes to all the students writing the Second PUC Exam-2 from today. My congratulations to you for trying again without getting discouraged by the setback in the first attempt, he said in a statement.

It is a good thing that this is not just the second opportunity but also the fact that more students have registered with the intention of improving their scores. He said that this effort of the students should be appreciated.

As was done in Second PUC Exam-1, strict measures have been taken in Exam-2 as well. The exam is being conducted smoothly all over the state, said Examination and Evaluation Board Director Gopalakrishna. 

On the first day, today, Kannada and Arabic language exams were held. Political Science, Statistics, Biology exams will be held tomorrow, History, Physics on April 26, Geography, Psychology, Chemistry, Basic Mathematics on April 28 and English exams on April 29.

Logic, Business Studies, Mathematics, Education, Home Science on May 2, Sociology, Geology, Electronics, Computer Science on May 3, Economics on May 5, Optional Kannada, Accounting on May 6, Hindi exams on May 7.

Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit, French language exams will be held on May 8, and Hindustani Music, Information Technology, Retail, Automobile, Health Care and Beauty and Wellness exams will be held in the afternoon, the board has announced.

The results of the Second PUC Examination-1 have already been declared. Students who have got low results are writing this examination to improve their performance. After this examination, the board will provide an opportunity to write the 3rd examination like last time.
