Mysore- Making reels and taking photos on mobile phones and cameras is completely prohibited in Chamundi Hills.
In the backdrop of the Ashada month, on Fridays of Ashada, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mother Chamundeshwari Amma, at 05.30 in the morning, the pre-Mahanyasa Rudrabhishek, Panchamrutha Abhishek, Sahasranamarachane, Mangalarati will be held. After Mahamangalarti at 09.30 in the morning, at 10.30 in the morning, the Golden Pallakhi Utsav Mantapotsav for Amma, Prasad Viniyoga will be held. At 08.30 in the evening, the Utsav Phalapuja, Darbar Utsav, Mantapotsav, and Rashtrashirvaad will be held for Sri.
In this backdrop, making reels and taking photos on mobile phones and cameras in the Utsav Murti, sanctum sanctorum and courtyard of the Chamundeshwari Temple are completely prohibited. If found taking photos or videos, the mobile/camera will be confiscated permanently.
From now on, the authority will take photos and videos of the festival idol and broadcast them live on social media. No private vehicles will be allowed to enter the hill on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the month of Ashadha.
