Mangalore: St Antony English Medium School observed the Reading Day on 19th June 2025 with great enthusiasm.

The event aimed to foster a love for reading among students and commemorate P.N. Panicker, the Father of the Library Movement in Kerala.

The day began with a special assembly where student Vinayas explained the significance of the day.

Headmistress Sr Lavina Veigas addressed the students, emphasizing how reading enhances vocabulary, creativity, and academic growth.

A musical performance by Reshel Vas and group of students on the value of reading added charm to the celebration. 

The event concluded with a reading pledge taken by students and staff, reinforcing the commitment to daily reading. The celebration successfully inspired students to embrace the habit of reading with the message, “Read and Grow.”
