Karwar: Two boats fishing in the Arabian Sea went into the Navy's jurisdiction due to the strong waves, and the Navy seized two boats and arrested six fishermen.

The incident took place in the sea near Araga in Karwar. The Navy seized the boat named Aryaparam Bali belonging to Ravi Narayan Harikant of Baitakoli in Karwar and the boat named Om Sri Aryadurigabe belonging to Raju Vamant Tandel, and arrested six fishermen and handed them over to the Karwar Rural Police Station.

Their boats floated in the strong waves and went to the Navy's jurisdiction. Now, the boats and nets worth lakhs are in the custody of the Navy officials. This is causing us trouble, and the fishermen have appealed for the release of the boats and the arrested fishermen.
