Jaipur, April 29: A new star has emerged in the history of IPL. Just 14-year-old young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi set a new milestone today by scoring a century against Gujarat Titans. With this, the Rajasthan Royals opening batsman in this edition of the IPL tournament has now achieved the rare feat of scoring the fastest half-century in the 2025 IPL tournament.
On the second day of the IPL mega auction held at the end of last year, the Rajasthan Royals franchise bought Vaibhav Suryavanshi for a whopping Rs 1.1 crore. Vaibhav, who was 13 years old at the time, was bought by the Rajasthan Royals franchise, which made everyone's eyes water. Vaibhav, who made his IPL debut against Lucknow Super Giants on April 20, became the youngest cricketer to achieve this feat. Vaibhav Suryavanshi had hinted that he could be a dangerous opener in the very first ball he bowled.
Now, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has managed to write three rare records to his name in a single match.
1. Youngest batsman to score a century in T20 cricket: Vaibhav Suryavanshi, aged 14 years and 32 days, has now become the youngest cricketer to score a century in the history of T20 cricket by scoring a century against Gujarat Titans. Earlier, Vijay Jhol, aged 18 years and 118 days, had scored a century for Maharashtra against Mumbai.
2. Indian batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has now set a new milestone by scoring a century in just 35 balls, making him the fastest Indian batsman to score a century in the history of IPL. Earlier, Yusuf Pathan had scored a century in 37 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians in 2010.
3. Fastest half-century of this edition: Vaibhav Suryavanshi has now set a new milestone by scoring the fastest half-century in the 18th edition of the IPL tournament. Vaibhav managed to score his maiden IPL half-century in just 17 balls.

But Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a brilliant start to Rajasthan Royals, who were chasing a tough target. The pair played a key role in Rajasthan's victory by putting on a partnership of 166 runs for the first wicket in just 11.5 overs.
