Quetta: At least 10 people were killed and 32 injured in a powerful blast in the city of Quetta, Balochistan. Initial reports said that the powerful blast targeted the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Quetta.

Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, who has now responded to this, told the media that at least 10 people were killed and 32 were injured in a bomb blast on a street in Quetta on Tuesday.

Currently, 32 injured have been taken to the civil hospital and trauma center. Following the blast, the Balochistan Health Department has declared an emergency in hospitals across the capital, Health Secretary Mujibur Rehman said.

"Emergency has been declared at Quetta Civil Hospital, Balochistan Medical College (BMC) Hospital Quetta and Trauma Centre. All consultants, doctors, pharmacists, staff nurses and paramedical staff have been asked to remain present at the hospitals," Rehman said in a statement.
