'White Doves' consistently rescues the destitute on a regular programme in Mangalore. On our city roads every day one observes destitute and impoverished people mentally and physically challenged lying helpless, the causes that bring humans to that fate is mysterious. These sad people are like most of us and their stories are full of good and bad doings. It is not always possible to get these sometimes aggressive derelict men and women to submit to be taken rehab centers. On October 15, Tuesday, white doves rescued two men witnessed by public, who were lying in pathetic mindless condition at two prominent bus shelters in the city. Both were found in semi conscious condition, ill and were persuaded by the 'White Doves Team' lead by its compassionate leader Corrine Rasquinha.
Perhaps the inclement weather with rain and thunder caused these two derelict men to submit to the persuasion of the White Doves team and to be taken to be taken to the "White Doves Psychiatric Nursing Home and Destitute Home," at Nidel in Kulshekar to be rehabilitated and reunited with life, their kith and kin as early as possible.
The two men, after much confidence building, persuasion and primary care and tact of the team, uncertainly gave vague information: One is Sundar from Hosadurga aged about 50 plus, found lying at the State Bank bus shelter, the second is Ummar from Malapuram in neighbouring Kerala around 45, found at the Milagres Bus shelter opposite of Wenlock hospital gate , and then after rescue primary care was taken. White doves home provided them bath, shave, haircut, fresh clothes; and were given food . Indeed this service by this institution which has around 180 men and women in a well run well kept sprawling center in the city is a very humane and dedicated service supported by people of good will from a wide range of large hearted caring people - in fact it has to get wider support. This is probably a very vital service more than Swacch Bharat and helps humans greatly.
White Doves, 25 years, a humane mission of "Compassion, Sharing and Caring," with deep concern for the least, last and lost now at the modern "White Doves Psychiatric Nursing Home and Destitute Home." On February 17, 2019, the destitute, received a gift - a beautiful new compact state-of-the-art shelter with all that is needed under one roof, for a helpless men and women, sick, maimed and inviting death. Beyond all imagination dedicated staff and volunteers, day after day without discrimination perform miracles. Forty children 5 to 17 years are presently housed and given good care separately nearby. The never failing word and work of Goodness and concern provides and guides life at this institution divinely.
