Mangaluru: Today, Jan 27, 2025 three schools Manipal School in Attavar, Presidency School and PU College, and Cambridge School near Neerumarga received threatening emails claiming the presence of IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) on their premises.
Police teams were immediately deployed, and thorough anti-sabotage checks were conducted at all three schools by the city's ASC Check team and Bomb Disposal squads. The checks have been completed, and no suspicious items were found. Additionally, police personnel have been stationed at the schools to ensure the safety of students and staff.
School authorities have been advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movement or communication to the police immediately. Separate cases are being registered concerning these threat emails, and a detailed investigation will be conducted to trace the source of the emails.
