Samajwadi Party candidate Awadhesh Prasad has won against BJP candidate Lallu Singh in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya Lok Sabha constituency.
But BJP's defeat in the Ayodhya Lok Sabha seat has stunned the party leaders. In Uttar Pradesh, the India Alliance has given another shock to the BJP with a resounding success. Awadhesh Prasad won with 554289 votes and Lallu Singh recieved 499722 votes.
Other candidstes Sachidananda Pandey of Bahujan Samaj Party - 46407 votes, Arvind Sen of Communist Party of India- 15367, Kanchan Yadav of Moulik Adhikar Party-2666, Ambarish Dev Gupta of Bharat Mahaparivar Party- 2218, Anil Kumar Ravat of Rashtriya Janshakti Samaj Party - 1638, Brajendra Dutt Tripati from Adarshwaadi Congress Party- 1173, Independent candidates Sunil Kumar Bhatt-3827, Fareed Salmani- 1780, Lal Mani Tripati- 1717 Jagat Singh- 1254, Arun Kumar-1067, NOTA-7536 votes were recieved.
