Moodbidri, Aug 27 – A prostitution racket operating in Marpadi village of Moodbidri taluk was busted by the Moodbidri Police under the leadership of Inspector Sandesh P.G. Two individuals Rajesh Bovi (31) and Bharath Jain were taken into custody, and one woman was rescued during the operation.
Based on the information received around 8:00 PM on August 26, about this taking place in a room of an upstairs building on the road leading to Private Hospital, Inspector Sandesh informed his superiors and conducted a raid along with police personnel.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Bharath Jain had been showing the woman to potential clients and engaging in prostitution.
A case has been registered at the Moodbidri Police Station, and Inspector Sandesh P.G. is continuing the investigation.
