Mangalore:- The Centenary inaugural of Our Lady of Pompei Church, Gurupura Kaikamba was celebrated on 4th November 2020. Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao, Bishop, Shivamogga Diocese was welcomed by the parish priest Fr. Antony Lobo and the parishioners at the main gate. He then unveiled the Centenary Celebration Logo.
The bishop was the main celebrant of the mass and was accompanied by Pezar Vicar Fr. Marcel Saldanha and other priests from the neighboring parishes. Fr. Marcel blessed the Centenary prayer handouts. After the mass the papal flag with the Centenary logo was hoisted and an all balloon rosary was released by the bishop to inaugurate the centenary celebrations which will conclude next year on 7th November.

A prayer song by Wilton Fernandes was also released after the mass. Fr. Antony thanked all the sponsors and contributors. The entire event ended in compliance with the COVID guidelines issued by the government.
