Mangalore, Sept 16: Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy announces its honory award for the year 2021. The Award ceremony will be held at Kudmal Rangrao Town Hall, Mangalore on September 24.
The awards are conferred to Sanjeev Bangera Talapady in Tulu Folklore, Krishnappa Uppuru in Tulu drama and film, Ullas Krishna Pai Puttur in Literature. Yogish Kanchan Baikampady for his book 'Tayeen Bolli', Akshatha Raj Perla for her book 'Beli, Sapoda Kann' and Ashok Alva Surathkal for his 'Tulunadina Praani Janapada'.
In the Category of Young achievers the award conferred to Hariprasad Nandalike, Chennayya Mohan, Mumbai, Ramananda Shetty Oman. In the category of media Shashi Bandimar, Times of Kudla, Rons Bantwal, Mumbai.
In Child Talent State Awards Neeriksha Kotyan, Kodikere, Jivika Shetty, Mumbai and Swami USA and Jai Tulunad(R), Tulu Kuta Foundation, Nalasopara, Mumbai, Tulu Kuta Qatar in the category of Achievements of tulu associations.
Awards will be conferred by V. Sunil Kumar, Minister of Kannada and Culture and the Energy Department of Karnataka.
