Indian Origin, Infosys son-in-law Rishi Sunak elected as a new Prime Minister of UK

Rishi Sunak (46) has been elected as Prime Minister of United Kingdom and Leader of conservative party today on October 24, 2022.

After Liz Truss resigned from the post last week, the election was held for Prime Minister and Rishi Sunak has been elected 57th PM. More than 190 MP's supported his candidateship. He is a first Hindu Prime Minister of UK.

Sunak's father was a doctor and mother was owner of  chemical shop.  Sunak is the son-in-law of Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy of Infosys. He married their daughter Akshtaran and settled in Britain. Couple have two children Krishna and Anushka.
