Bengaluru, Sep 29:  The CCB police have seized drugs worth Rs 9.93 crores, including hydro ganja worth Rs 1 crore, that were sent to the post office through a parcel from abroad and arrested seven drug peddlers, including two foreign nationals. The police received information that a drug parcel had been sent to the post office under the jurisdiction of Kejinagar police station.

Acting on a specific information, the police went to the spot and inspected the parcel and found 1.22 kg of hydro ganja and other items in it. These were seized and their value is estimated to be around Rs 1 crore.

A case has been registered at the KG Nagar police station in this regard. Transfer to CCB: The narcotics that arrived at the post office from abroad have been transferred to the CCB for further investigation, said City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh.

Giving information about this at a press conference, he said that information is being collected on which country this parcel came from. Who sent this narcotics to whom through post etc.


Arrest of two foreign nationals:

The CCB police have arrested two foreign nationals who came to India from Nigeria on medical visas and student visas and were later living in the city and were involved in drug peddling and have seized 3 kg 852 g MDMA crystals worth Rs 7.80 crore and 41 g 82 mg Ecstasy pills and other items used in the crime.

Kevin Roger and Thomas Naveed Chief, from Nigeria, are the arrested foreign nationals. The man, who came to India in 2019 on a medical visa, later bought drugs from foreign nationals living in Delhi and sold them to known customers in Bengaluru.

An NDPS case was registered against him in the NCB unit in 2023 and he was released on bail.

Another foreign national came to India in 2019 on a student visa. He was involved in cheating the public online and two cases were registered against him in the Cyber Crime Police Station of Gujarat state. He had gone into hiding in Delhi after getting bail from the court.

He had come to Bengaluru two months ago and was involved in drug peddling. A case has been registered against these two in the CCB station and the investigation is ongoing.


 Techie arrested:

The CCB police have arrested a software engineer who was buying hydro ganja from Kerala at a low price and selling it to acquaintances in the city at a higher price and seized drugs worth Rs. 75 lakh.

Acting on the information given by a drug peddler who was involved in drug peddling, the CCB police conducted an operation and arrested the techie, a software engineer in a private company. During interrogation, he revealed that he was involved in drug sales to earn extra money for a fun life.

500 grams of hydro ganja worth Rs. 75 lakh, 1 car, bike and mobile phone were seized from the accused. A case has been registered at Mahadevapura police station and investigation is underway.


Dental student arrested:

The CCB police have arrested a dental college student who was buying hydro marijuana at a low price and selling it at a high price with the intention of earning more money to live a fun life and have seized 300 grams of the drug worth Rs. 32 lakh.

The CCB police, after collecting information about the drug peddler in the Aadugodi area, launched an operation and raided the place and took the drug peddler into custody. When questioned, it was revealed that he was a dental college student.


Three drug peddlers arrested:

The CCB police have arrested three drug peddlers who were engaged in drug peddling to earn more money and have seized 6 kg of marijuana worth Rs. 6 lakh.

During interrogation, the accused confessed that they were earning money by buying ganja at a low price and selling it to acquaintances at a high price, and the investigation is continuing against other persons involved in this act.

This operation was successfully carried out by the Narcotics Control Bureau of the CCB unit and a team of personnel and succeeded in arresting the drug peddlers.
