Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday July 22 recorded 162 fresh cases and five deaths. Meanwhile, in a major spike, Udupi registered its highest ever single-day rise with 281 cases.
As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, 3996 are positive till date. Out of these, 2,160 cases are currently active. Of the 162 who tested positive on Wednesday, 13 are primary contacts, 70 have ILI symptoms, 18 have SARI symptoms, one has international travel history, and contacts of 60 are being traced.As many as 1,744 persons have recovered and been discharged, and 92 deaths have occurred so far,As many as 69 patients were discharged on Wednesday from various hospitals.
Udupi:- As per the health bulletin released by the Udupi district administration, As many as 2,686 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 281 on Wednesday. As many as 1,776 patients have been discharged so far including 34 on Wednesday, 899 cases are currently active.The new cases include 160 men, 100 women, and 10 boys and girls each. As many as 395 are under home isolation.
