Mangalore: Area familiarization exercise conducted at Bunder (North) and Pandeshwar (South) limits on Jan, 11 2020. Commercial areas, residential areas, religiously important areas, traffic bottlenecks during peak hours were assessed keeping in mind safety of women and elderly.
Areas covered broadly are State Bank, Bunder, JM road, Khandathpalli, Kudroli, Jodupalli, Alake, Balaji junction, Car street, Central Market, Clock tower, KB Katte and KS Rao road.
Team led by Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar along with DCP's Hariram Shankar and Vinay Gaonkar were accompanied by ACP Jagdish, Inspectors Govindaraju, Mahesh Prasad, Jyothirling and Lokesh.
The team was comprised of moreover 30 police staff including station staff, traffic staff and CCB staff.
