Baghpat: A married woman, who was in a hotel with her lover, jumped from a 12-feet high roof after her husband and his family members came and knocked on the door in Baraut town of Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district.
The alleged lover was caught by locals and handed over to the authorities but the woman escaped before the police arrived. Fearing a threat to her life, her husband lodged a complaint with the police, officials said.
The incident took place at a hotel on Chaprauli Road in Baghpat town. According to the police, the woman had come to the hotel with her lover Shobhit. After some time, her husband and in-laws reached the spot. They had apparently followed her.
