Mumbai: The Karnataka Union Working Journalists(KUWJ) Association (R) held its general assembly last Sunday at the Tumakuru Siddhartha Technical College auditorium in Koppal. The event was presided over by KUWJ State President Shivananad Tagaduru.
The 39th State Journalist Conference of KUWJ was attended by several dignitaries, including Minister for Kannada, Culture, and Backward Classes Welfare, and Koppal district in-charge minister, Shivraj S. Tangadagi; Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, K.V. Prabhakar; Vice-Chancellor of Koppal University, Prof. B.K. Ravi; Koppal MLA Raghavendra Hitnal; and other prominent guests.
During the award ceremony, Rons Bantwal was honored with the KUWJ Distinguished Achievement Award by the Maharashtra State President of Karnataka Union Working Journalists Association (R). He was recognized for his valuable contributions to the fields of media and social service. KUWJ General Secretary G.C. Lokesh stated that Bantwal was being honored for his exceptional service to society.
