Mangalore: Milagres Institutions celebrated the 72nd Republic Day on January 26, 2021. Students and faculty of the CBSE, High School, PUC and Degree section assembled for the day. Rev. Fr Kenneth Crasta, Principal, St Joseph’s ITI, Jeppu was the Chief Guest of the day. Rev. Fr Michael Santhumayor, Campus Administrator, presided over the function. John Pais, Principal, PUC Section, Rev. Fr Maxim D’Souza, Vice Principal High School Sonia D’ Mello, Principal, CBSE section Section were present on the dais.
The Chief Guest Rev. Fr Kenneth Crasta, unfurled the National Flag which was led by the National Anthem by the gathering. In his message said that there is a need for a country like ours to work hand in hand and live up to the expectations of the Constitution. The President Rev. Fr Michael Santhumayor in his message said that it is necessary that every human being respects each other only then every citizen can respect the nation. A nation can grow when there is unity with all of them. He wished all on this occasion.
On this occasion the student volunteers of the NSS Unit and YRC, of the Degree Section under the guidance of the Faculty Incharge, conducted campus cleaning under Swatch Bharath Abhiyan.
The patriotic song was sung by CBSE Staff, The invocation was led by the students of the Degree section. The Student representative of PUC Section spoke on the significance of the day.
