Moodbidri: On August 9, a Consumer Education and Postage‑Stamp Collection Information Workshop was held for students of Saint Victor Girls Educational Institution in Puttur taluk, Dakshina Kannada district. The event featured resource speaker Rayee Rajakumar Moodbidre, who is a trainer at Bangalore Spark Academy, a state-level resource person, and Secretary of the Dakshina Kannada District Consumer Organization Federation, as well as a newspaper reporter. During his consumer education workshop, he explained customer rights, consumer protection, responsibilities and duties, as well as the procedures and documentation required when facing deficiencies, difficulties, or disputes with any institution or department.
At the same time, there was also a demonstration of postage‑stamp collection. Teachers and students learned about collection methods. The subsequent session on postage‑stamp collection information highlighted the importance of daily registers, subject ledgers, collection practices, and the necessity of collecting both coins and notes.
The workshop was presided over by the school’s headmistress, Rosaline Flavy Lobo, who emphasized the need for consumer information. Teacher Ronald Monis coordinated the program. Teacher Anusha introduced the guests. The club president, Fatimat Shaifa, was present on the platform. The student Shamsia gave the welcome speech. The program was grandly conducted; Halima Hafifa gave the vote of thanks.
