Mangalore May 29: "The covid time at lockdown is starving to journalist. We see that no hotels, no canteens either. That's why we thought " lunch to journalist at Pres club building " said katta Bhaskar Rai, elected member of DKWJA executive member and volunteer to this lunch Service. A conjie with a pickle, dry vegetable, chutney and a payasam at lunch.

President DKWJA Srinivas Nayak Indaje, Pressclub President Annu Mangalore, Patrika Bhavan Trust President Anand Shetty and committee members are fully co operating in the monetary part.Daily more than 40  journalist from 28th April till 29th May and up to the end of lockdown; who are outside in the field at news collection come to Urwa patrika bhavan from one pm till 2.30.PM Cool their hunger and have safe food.

Neighborhood police and medical Staff are guests some time and served happily. That expenses are born by press club jointly. Daily many journalist are volunteer to service the lunch. Press club staff Chanchalakka Cook with her husbands assistance. Last time, during 2020 lockdown 25kg rice, 5kg wheat flour were given to eligible journalist.
