Punjab: Renowned Pakistani snooker player and Asian Under-21 silver medalist Majeed Ali has committed suicide on Thursday. He was 28-year-old.

"Majid has been suffering from depression since he was a teenager, but it's a scary thing for us because we never expected him to take his own life," Majid's brother Umar said.

He died in his hometown Samundri near Faisalabad, Punjab.

Majid has represented Pakistan in several international matches and is a top ranked player in the national circuit.
