Mendez, who was devastated by family feud

According to the family of female bodybuilder Mendez, the couple had been facing marriage problems. She had told relatives that her husband had been acting aggressively towards her for the past year and that they were planning to divorce after their trip. The bodybuilding in Portugal is expected to take place in a couple of weeks. The trip would end with a bodybuilding competition. Her family said she was constantly being abused and wanted a divorce.

The couple had come to southern Spain from Dubai. According to Mendez's niece Eulades, her husband Gayling had knee surgery before traveling to Portugal. She was with him on this occasion. For my mother-in-law, this was her last trip with him. Eulades said that she had decided to divorce him because of his aggressive behavior. The two had previously separated due to disagreements. But later got back together to resolve the problem. However, she said that the harassment continued.

Trainer deeply saddened by Mendez's death

Meanwhile, after Mendez's death, her body building trainer Brandon Ray posted a photo on his Instagram Stories as a tribute. We came to the stage "There were 17 days left to shock the world, my friend, I told you you could be in the top 10 in the world by the end of this year but rest in heaven, Amy," he wrote. "We were so close to the finish, but the person closest to you ended it too soon." Domestic violence should never be taken lightly, as it causes deep pain for many, he wrote.
