Bengaluru, June 23: The Meteorological Department has predicted that monsoon will intensify in Karnataka from June 26, and a yellow alert has been declared for 11 districts. A yellow alert has been declared for Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, and Shivamogga districts.

There is a possibility of moderate rain in Bengaluru too. Rain will occur in Bengaluru city, Bengaluru rural, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Hassan, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Ramanagara, Tumkur, and Vijayanagar.

Rainfall has been recorded in Kadra, Castle Rock, Siddapur, Moodbidri, Kottagehara, Sringeri, Bhagamandala, Gubbi, Kammarady, Mani, Uppinangady, Shaktinagar, Mangalore, Yellapur, Gerusoppa, Sulya, Puttur, Manki, Bantawala, Kundapur, Athani, Londa, Koppa, Joyda, Ankola, Jayapura, Kalasa.

Most parts of the state have been experiencing dry weather for the past two days. However, the rains are expected to intensify from today and are expected to increase significantly after June 26.
