Mysuru: Countdown to the world famous Mysore Jumbo ride has begun. Many of these practices have been modified due to Covid-19 infection. Celebrations have already begun in the palace and the yard is being painted.

This time the jumbo ride will be confined to the Palace premises due to  Kovid-19 infection. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will lead the Dasara Jumbo ride. The worship of Nandidhwaja will be performed by CM Yediyurappa at Makara Lagna from 2.59 pm to 3.20 pm. Yediyurappa and Yaduveer will perform flower rituals at Kumbha Lagna from 3.40 pm to 4.15 pm. This time jumbo ride will be over in about 30 to 40 minutes.

The public was allowed to watch jumbo rides every year. Due to Covid, only 300 people are allowed to watch the jumbo ride this time.

Abhimanyu Elephant will take Ambari this time. Only five elephants will join the Dussehra procession. Abhimanyu, who is headed by elephant procession, will be accompanied by Kaveri, Vijaya, Gopi and Vikrama. The elephants are in the process of being painted by a team of renowned artist Nagalingappa based in Hunasur.

Security guards are deployed around the palace along with the palace complex. Inspected by the Air Force and Bomb Disposal Squad. Inspections were carried out by a total of 5 teams in and around the palace and 144 sections were implemented in the 200-meter range around the palace.
