Mangalore:- Maundy Thursday Mass was celebrated today at St. Teresa Church, Paldane, Mangalore. Judicial Vicar of Mangalore Diocese Reverend Fr. Walter D’ Mello participated in the mass and washed the feet of 12 people who were selected by the church as a symbol of the washing of the feet of his 12 disciples by Jesus Christ.
During his oration he narrated that throughout his life, Jesus Christ helped and served the people who were suffering from difficulties and hardship and showed that the service of mankind was superior. He also said that we should put more emphasis on serving the people around us. The Mass was headed by Church Father Reverend Fr. Alban D’Souza and he explained the significance of this day.
Church Vice President William Lobo, Secretary Austin Monteiro and thousands of devotees also participated in the Maundy Thursday Mass.
