If all the people of India understand Indian Constitution in its proper perspective, many of our problems will simply melt away, said SandeshJavali, Director, Rangayana, Shivamogga. 

He was speaking as the guest at the staging of the play ‘We the people of India,’ the play on the Constitution of India performed by Rangayana, Shivamogga, under the auspices of Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Sciences, MAHE, Manipal on March 3, 2022.

The problems of inequality and injustice, caste and religion, could be better understood and solved by resorting to Constitution, he added. 

Inaugurating the play, MAHE Cultural Coordination Committee chairperson, Dr. Shobha Kamath said University is once again coming alive with live cultural activities, and this is the beginning. GCPAS Head Prof Varadesh Hiregange described this as a ‘cathartic’ moment as this kind of event was happening after two years. Prof Phaniraj said that the play celebrated the values of ‘liberty, equality, and fraternity. Shravya Basri sang Vaishnava Janatho and Abinaya compered the event. 

The play that was staged, vividly brought out the essence of the Indian Constitution with many lively moments, song, dance, and other theatrical elements.
