Mangalore : National Service Scheme in association with Youth Red Cross organized ‘Plastic Free Environment Program’ the occasion of Independence Day. This campaign aimed at creating awareness on minimising the usage of plastics. The faculty members and the NSS volunteers of Milagres College cleared up all the plastic in the college premises and in stretch of about 2 kms around Mangalore city. The places included were Jyothi, Falnir, Bavutagudda and Hampankatta. Total of 102 volunteers actively participated in this campaign.
