Mangalore : ICYM Fajir Unit in collaboration with Stree Sanghatan Fajir unit organized a one day programme titled “Krashe Kushim Amchem Met” at Konaje 2nd ward in Fajir Parish in Walter Dsouza’s Field. The program began with a prayer song conducted by ICYM Members. ICYM President Preetham Joyson Dsouza welcomed the gathering.
Leon Saldanha , President ICYM central Council, Mangalore Diocese was the Chief Guest for the program. Also were present on the dais Veena Vas, General Secretary of ICYM Mangalore Diocese; Kishore Dsouza, President of Mangalore South Deanary; Jovita Dsouza, Secretary of Mangalore South Deanary; Roshan Dsouza Vice President of Parish Council; Irine Lobo, President of Stree Sanghatan Fajir Unit; Lawrence Dsouza, Ward Gurkar; Walter Dsouza and Irine Dsouza the owners of the field. Rev. Fr Sunil Veigas, the parish priest and the director of ICYM Fajir was the president of the program.
Roshan Dsouza, Vice President Paish council, spoke about the Present situation of Agriculture and explained his own experience regarding cultivation of the Paddy in his own field. He appreciated the initiative Taken by the ICYM Members about the program.
Kishore Dsouza, President, Mangalore South Deanary told that this Program will definitely going to positive impact on the Youths interests towards agriculture.
Chief Guest Leon Saldanha , attending his First Program after being President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese congratulated for the best and unique program conducted by ICYM Fajir unit. He shared his Love and Affection towards the Nature. He enjoyed the beauty of the Greenery which he misses in the City.
Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Sunil Joseph Veigas Addressing the gathering, said that the step taken by ICYM should inspire many to take similar steps and it should emerge as a revolution in the entire diocese. Unit ICYM Secretary Anisha Asuntha Monteiro rendered the vote of thanks. President gave Token of love and gratitude to the guests. Violla Lobo hosts the programme. Baby Jiyona,s 2ndyear’s Birthday was celebrated at the end of the stage program. The stage program was concluded by singing ICYM Anthem.
