Mangalore: Youth Red Cross and National Service Scheme of Milagres College, Mangaluru in association with Indian Youth Red Cross Society, Dakshina Kannada organised a “Blood Donation Camp” on February 18, 2022. The program was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.
Praveen Kumar, coordinator, Indian Red Cross Society, Dakshina Kannada was the chief guest of the program.
Dr. J N Bhat, Medical officer IRCS, Blood Bank, the guest of honour addressed the gathering. He in his message briefed that God has given us land, water and air as the essential elements, along with these he has sent us with blood which must be shared with others. He encouraged the students to donate blood.
Rev. Fr Michael L Santhumayor, Principal, presided over the program, addressing the gathering hesaid that the students by voluntarily donating blood will be saviours of other’s life.
John Melroy Fernandes, YRC Coordinator welcomed the gathering. Shravya N, NSS Program Officer coordinated the programme. Priston Sequiera, NSS Student Secretary proposed Vote of Thanks. Jevita Veigas, Student Representative, compeered the program. Total of 80 students were present for the program. 101 members both student and faculty donated blood.
