Mangalore: Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy to organise "Academy Honour Award 2020" and Book Prize Ceremony at Town Hall Mangalore on Sunday August 1, 2021
Dr. K. Jagadeesh Pai President of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy speaking in the press meet held at Mangalore press club Today said " Arun Subhrav Ubhaykar will be awarded Academy Honour Award for literature, Puttur Panduranga Nayak with award in Art section, and Lakshmi Krishna Siddi with folk section award, respectively. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will distribute these awards. The book award will be given to the poetry "Ek Mut Pavlyo" (Prem Moras), and to the short story "Nava Disha" (Monica D'Sa) for the article "Sugundu Swas" (Stephen Quadros). MLA Kota Srinivas Poojary will distribute books awards.
The Quarterly publication of Academy "Konkani Sirisampada" and "Parichaya Pusthaka", an introductory book of the awardees will be released on the same stage.
MLA Vedavyas Kamath, MLC Pratap Simha Nayak, Henry D'Silva, Actor-Producer, Konkani Cinema, Dayanand Kattalsar, President of Tulu Sahitya Academy, and Rahim Ucchila, President of Beary Sahitya Academy will be the chief guest of the event.
Registrar R. Manohar Kamath, Members Canute Jeevan Pinto, Naveen Nayak, and Arun G. Shet were present.
