Hubballi: Five people were killed in a head-on collision between a lorry and a car near Ingalahalli Cross on the Hubballi-Vijayapura National Highway.
The deceased have been identified as Shweta (29), Anjali (26), Sandeep (26), Vitthal (55) and Sashikala (40), all natives of Sagar in Shivamogga district.
The five deceased were on their way to Bagalkote for hotel business. At this time, a car and a lorry collided head-on near Ingalahalli Cross in Kusugal village. Five people died on the spot due to the force of the collision.
Hubballi Rural Police have currently visited the spot and are conducting an investigation.
