The threat of venomous snakes, along with the rising floodwaters, has hampered rescue efforts as they scour the mud and debris. Three days after the flooding, one of the largest search and rescue efforts in recent Texas history is underway.
Work is underway to identify the 18 adults and 10 children among those recovered in Kerr County. Texas Governor Greg Abbott said authorities will “stop at nothing” to ensure every missing person is found.
