Mangalore: Father Muller Charitable Institutions UTSAV, held for the first time ever. The two year lull in the 'greatest ever student' show ended with an traditional show of the Indian Multi cultural strength. 6 September 2022 the day for colour of one nation through Utsav came true. The ocassion also summarised the events that took or would be around the week namely Teachers day, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam And Monthi Feast. The guest were led by a boystrous band playing the traditional rhythms.
Tradition showed it's light with the inaugural through the 'pingara arisidhu' or the opening of the areca pod releasing the flower filled segments, reminding of the bounty of the earth. The invocation was done by a dance with a next gen twist.
Cristine (MBBS) provided the welcome, who with his team bore the uphill task of organizing the event. The day to connect with our cultural roots through the tagline of 'unity in diversity'
The remembrance of the 25th years of demise of Mother Teresa who part took in the celebration of the centenary year was done through a floral tribute in the begining. Her words of encouragement to the Institutions has been written in our history "Works of elevating the suffering with love and compassion is through the hands of Father Muller".
Kshamya Adkar who is an Alumnus of the department of Physiotherapy, FMMC was the chief guest. She had won the Miss Karnataka runner-up. She felt nostalgic on returning to her Alma Mater. Being in the 2015 batch of BPT she never dreamt of being in a stage. The encouragement by her teachers and the activities in the college brought out the courage of confidence in us.

'Diversity majes the world beautiful, unity makes the world strong'. June 19 is the world ethnic day, a day to celebrate world ethnic groups to reconnect with each other. The beauty of Father Muller is that it looks like the whole country is represented in one campus. He reminded the festive season around the week bore the diversity with inclusion. The festal celebration of Monthi Feast around the coastal region with a new corn and the ending of Ganesh Chaturthi festivities seemed fit to conduct the event. He concluded by saying 'Ethnicity should enrich us, not used to divide us but to unite us more and more'. Human life and moreover womanhood should be upheld and these festivities remind us of preciousness of life.
To wish all the teachers on the occasion of Teachers Day came forward student Gaurav. He spoke on the life of Dr Radhakrishnan on whom the day is celebrated.
The ancient tradition dances of Kerala, Triruvatira was displayed, a circle of splendedly dressed women around the fire, which is a precursor to the Mohininattam arranged by the students of MBBS.
The unity and diversity in dance forms display was offered to the audience by the students of the College of Allied Health Sciences.
Suprise flash mob by different batches of the medical College students dressed in traditional attire dancing to the beats ig the Bollywood numbers was transcendental.
New age rock band of FMMC mesmirised the audience singing in with illahi jee ayee...with the konkani number ding dong diga diga...
Ramp walk by the Faculty was the highlight of the day who wanted students, glammed up in traditional wear. The students followed suite with sarees flowing, dupattas and lungees draped in different ways.
Attraction too was the tiger dance troupe who all coloured camouflaged as tiger's rattled the crowd.
The event began at 1:30pm with a procession from the Academy Hall, with different assemble of drummer bands. The programme commenced at 3pm through 7:30pm in the Convention Centre.
