Milagrese Mangalore : The meaning of Easter is Jesus Christ's victory over death. His resurrection symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The meaning of Easter also symbolizes the complete verification of all that Jesus preached and taught during His three-year ministry. If He had not risen from the dead, if He had merely died and not been resurrected, He would have been considered just another teacher or Rabbi. However, His resurrection changed all that and gave final and irrefutable proof that He was really the Son of God and that He had conquered death once and for all.

Easter mass was celebrated at milagrese church ground today at 7 pm  Parish Priest Rev Fr Valerian Assistant Parish Priest Rev Fr Edwyn and resident priests were present on alter  Mass began with blessing of fire and lighting of te lamp from the holy fire .Holy mass candle was blessed and lighten with new fire by Rev Fr  Maxy M. D'Souza  In his sermon Rev Fr Michael Santhumayaor said. Jesus was the symbol of love. We often find symbols in our daily life may be on road, on our driving, on our phone these symbols tell us some important instructions to be followed or to be known similar way holy week also a week of symbols. We can find many symbols. Each symbol tells us something important in our life to be followed they give us some directions to follow First symbol we saw was the Palm leaf which symbolises victory. Jesus was welcomed using the same palm leaf. On last supper Jesus washed feet of the disciples this symbol tells us on the service to be rendered by all of us. Jesus preached  people he came to this world to serve people through service he will  build his church. Without service there is no meaning in the church and its supporting  organisations. Third symbol was crucifix which was hated by most of the people in those days because it signifies shame. But Jesus proved himself through cross he showed we can achieve the success. This cross symbolises victory. Fire symbolises Gods reflection. In bible many times god has witnessed his presence through fire. We find fire in many religions as symbol of god. Candle symbolises sacrifice it gives life and light to others by sacrificing himself candle take time to light initially but when it feels presence of god it starts burning himself to give light to others as follower we should be ready to burn our self-daily. The word of Jesus was another symbol to us what he preached he proved he told with example Gods temple which was broken down will be restored by god in one day.On the third day of his death few of the ladys who were his true disciples searched his tomb they could not found his body then they found two angels told them "not to search for jesus Christ why you are searching among dead people he has been risen. Remember what he preached you he should die at the hands of people and he will rise on the third day" these ladies returned to town and explained what happened at the tomb Peter never beloved he came running near the tomb when he peeped inside the tomb he found only the cloth which was used to wrap the Jesus Christ he too surprised and return back to town. When Jesus met him during the dinner time he was called by Jesus to clear his doubts. Today let us all feel proud about our lord jesus Christ for the great miracle he performed in our life let us remain true followers of him in our life. "
