Udupi, Oct 13: Degree classes for the final year will be held on November 17 in Udupi district. All necessary measures will be taken and reopened as per the guidelines of the government, said Udupi Deputy Commissioner G. Jagdish.

Students can attend college with a consent form signed by their parents in the prescribed form. Online classes will be conducted for students who do not attend the classes, DC said.
All faculty, college staff and students must take a Covid 19 test and receive a negative report at least 3 days before the start of college. All rooms of the college must be sanitized, faculty in the college must wear masks and face shields, any cultural program in colleges, NCC and NA program for initiating SSS activities should not be provided to students. In the class with social space in the room the classes should be taken, additional room should be arranged if necessary, thermal scanning and sanitizer should be arranged in the entrance and exit of the college, G. Jagdish suggested the cleanliness of the college toilets.
In addition to educating students on the methods of control of Covid in the college, awareness banners and posters should be installed. Students must obtain an oath of conduct on covid control. Create a Covid Control Task Force at each college, hold meetings regularly, and review safety issues The district workforce will visit the colleges and review the safety measures taken. District Collector G. Jagadeesh said that action would be taken against those who have been charged with errors.
If students are informed of the lack of a bus to attend college, and on what routes the bus is lacking, DC instructed the DHO to arrange for private and government buses and to provide first aid kits with all the necessary equipment from the Covid safety standpoint in each college.
To facilitate students who are unable to attend college, all texts must be made available online, students must bring home their meals and drinking water, not to share their materials with other students, advises the student to report to the nearest health center in case of any symptoms.
