Mangalore:- As per the district health bulletin, a total of 7,79,955 samples have been tested so far, out of which 7,23,579 have turned out to be negative. The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 56,376, out of which 12,557 are currently active. As many as 854 patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday, taking the total number of recoveries to 43,034. The district recorded two deaths due to coronavirus on Sunday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 783, out of which two are non-Covid deaths.
Udupi:- As per the district health bulletin, as many as 5,28,500 samples have been tested so far. As many as 962 new cases were reported on Sunday, taking the total number of cases to 39,878, out of which 6,372 are currently active. A total of 543 patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,273. Out of 962 new patients, 943 are in home isolation while 19 are in Covid-designated hospitals. Coronavirus has claimed 233 lives in the district so far, including five on Sunday.
