Mangalore, August 31: With the public interest in view of the Government's mandate and the current affairs of the district, covid-19 will be effectively regulated. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra has exercised the powers vested in Article 144 (3) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Section 34 of the Penal Code of 1973 and has imposed certain restrictions.
The night curfew will be in effect from 9pm to 5am throughout the district until further orders. The weekend curfew is in effect from Friday 9 pm to 5 am till Monday, during which students are allowed to attend the exams following the current covid-19 guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare the Examination Admission Letter of hall ticket will be considered as a pass to travel.
During the weekend curfew, Nandini Milk Sales Outlets are only allowed to sell from 6 am to 8 pm, and wedding or family functions limited to a maximum of 50 people, with local government authorities in place.
Local Panchayat Development Officer and Revenue Officers should be present at the event to ensure that there is no violation of Covid Code.
All students who come to Kerala from Dakshina Kannada district (including Nursing, Medical, Engineering, Para Medical etc.) will be allowed to enter Dakshina Kannada District with the RT-PCR Negative Report of test done within 72 hours and they will be admitted to Quarantine for 7 days and 7 days after the RT-PCR Exam will be subject to compulsion.
This guideline is applicable to everyone who arrives from Kerala for employment or visit to the district. The Dakshina Kannada district must comply with the RT-PCR Negative Report at the entrance of the Dakshina Kannada district and the responsibility belongs to the respective organization to ensure that their staff have a RT-PCR Negative Report.
In violation of this order, the Disaster Management Act will be enforced under Section 51 to 60 of the IPC Act, Section 188 of the IPC and Section 4, 5 and 10 of the Karnataka Infectious Diseases Act 2020.
The night curfew guidelines are:
Public travel is strictly prohibited from 9 pm to 5 pm on Mondays, except for emergencies. Patients and their attendants or individuals who are required to travel for emergency treatment are allowed to travel. All industries or companies that require operating at night are permitted to operate. Employees of such organizations are allowed to travel with their official identity card issued by the company concerned.
Employees of telephone and internet service providers are allowed to travel by vehicle with their official identity card issued by their respective company. Information technology and information technology based services companies, essential staff of the organization, employees should work only from the office while the rest of the staff should work from home.
Medical, emergency and essential services, including drug stores, are permitted to function in full, as well as other commercial activities. There is no obligation on transport of any kinds of goods by trucks, freight vehicles or any freight vehicle, including empty vehicles. Home delivery of goods and their operations are permitted by e-commerce companies.
Bus, train and air travel allowed. Public transport vehicles, private vehicles and taxis are permitted to travel to airports, bus terminals, bus and railway stations to facilitate passenger traffic by air, rail and road. Such traffic will be permitted only after displaying an authorized travel document or ticket.

All state and central government offices and their autonomous bodies and corporations that perform emergency, essential services and control of covid-19 must be fully functioning and allowed for unauthorized travel to their officer or staff.
All industries, companies and organizations that are required to perform emergency and essential services and require 24x7 operations are permitted to operate, and employees of such organizations are allowed to travel by attending the official identity card issued by the respective association or organization. However, employees should be encouraged to work from home as much as possible.
Employee and vehicle traffic of telecommunication and internet service providers is permitted after the issue of an official identity card issued by their respective agency. Only information technology and IT based services companies, essential staff and employees of the organization must work from the office. The rest of the staff must work from home. Patients who are required to travel for emergency treatment, their attendants or individuals, and persons intended to be vaccinated are permitted to travel with minimal documentation.
Covid strictly adheres to the following activities and allows the following activities to operate from 5 am to 2 pm.
Only parcels of food, groceries, fruits and vegetables, meat and fish and animal feed, shops, street vendors, barbershops, independent liquor stores and stores are allowed. Home delivery all of these operations are permitted Restaurants and hotels are only allowed to take food and home delivery.
