Mangalore: It has been reported that the directors of four airports in the state, including the Mangaluru International Airport, received a threat message via email on Sunday morning regarding a bomb explosion at the airport.
Threat messages have been received via email for Mangaluru, Hubballi, Belgaum, and Bangalore airports.
Security has been tightened at the airports as a precautionary measure.
The Mangaluru International Airport in Bajpe has received a threat via email and the police have monitored the security in this regard, the Bajpe police said.
They informed that every passenger and the public entering the airport premises are being subjected to strict screening.
Official sources said that the bomb disposal squad, dog squad, police, internal security personnel and the intelligence department have been monitoring.
