According to the Ministry of Communications, the rates have remained unchanged for the past 12 years. During this time, the costs of transportation, operation and technology have increased significantly. The new rates are intended to balance these increased costs and provide a more modern and reliable service to customers. While the rates have been reduced for some areas, the rates have been increased in most areas. Earlier, the Department of Posts had discontinued the Registered Post service which was merged with Speed Post.

Online Payment: Customers no longer have to go to the office and make cash payments. Payments can be made online. It is fast, secure and trackable.


OTP-based secure delivery: An OTP (One-Time Password) is required at the time of parcel delivery. The parcel is delivered only to the person who has the OTP. This reduces the risk of the parcel getting lost or going to the wrong person.

SMS Notifications: Customers are instantly notified about every step of the parcel via SMS. There is transparency about where the parcel is and when it can be delivered.
